Background
As a Nurse Writer I cover general healthcare content, as well as other subjects.
I am a Registered Nurse, most recently in Outpatient Psychiatry/Mental Health. My initial degree was an English BA from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. Later, I graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a BS in Nursing.
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, starting with hospital Coronary Care, post-MI rehabilitation, and post-cardiac surgery, and outpatient care offices, including Neurology and Primary Care/Pediatrics, also in the pre/post-anesthesia unit at an outpatient surgical center.
I enjoy writing projects about health topics as well as general subjects. As an RN, I can also consult with marketing writers and health care marketing and PR staffs to assure accuracy of content.

A significant other can make a significant difference in pain relief
This is an article I co-developed and edited for my client Paul Weiss, physical therapist. His practice, Cedar Hill Physical Therapy, is branding itself as accessible, practical, empathetic and, most of all, empowering to the patient. The blog project is focused on...
